General: BIRTH: Date from father’s bible photo copy. DEATH: Tombstone recorded in Bosque County Texas Cemetery Records Vol I or II. Murdered by a man who had borrowed a plow. When he went to get his plow he was shot. The citizens were outraged and formed a posse which went after him “like he was a mad dog…and killed him like
a rattlesnake”. Copy of excerpts of a letter from Mary Selman Gallaway Dodson to
Sue Norman, dated 27 Aug 1959, Waco, TX. Sent to me by Flo Woods who got them
from Sue Norman.
Judy Bearch reports that McLennan Co., TX marriage records pg. 125 (original,
marriage book, or excerpted?) gives marriage date as 1 Sep 1869, one year before
the date I have, but have failed to document.
Soldier in the Confederate forces during the Civil War.

here and one day this coming week she is coming to spend some time with me and
give me the dates of all her family, descendants of Uncle Billy, and all their
dates.”
