Services for Melvin Moore, 35, of Benton, were held at 3 pm Friday, May 6
in Clifton, with Rev. John Austin of Immanuel Lutheran Church officiating.
Mr. Moore died in Benton, Wednesday, May 4, 1988. Burial was in Clifton
Cemetery. Melvin was born 13 May 1952 in Clifton to William M. & Frances
Lanehart Moore. He went to Silver City High School in New Mexico.,
where he graduated in 1970. He then attended Western New Mexico State
University, in Silver City NM from 1970-1974. He was employed by
Prentiss Properties of Dallas, as an engineer. He served in the US Air Force
for 4 years, during which time he was an air conditioning specialist on missle
sites. His hobbies were fishing & camping. Pallbearers: Barry Batta, Brad
Buchanan, Pat Gardner, Jim Traylor, Fred Mehaffey, & Chip Waggeman.
Survivors: his father, William M. Moore of Farmersville; a sister, Melissa
Kay Aars of Clifton; 2 half sisters: Barbara Marshall of Houston, & Vicki
Goble of Irving; 2 nephews, & 1 niece.
