  Temple- John Chapple, 63, of Kopperl, passed away on Thursday, August 9, at a hospital in Temple.  A graveside was held on Sunday, August 12, at 2:00 p.m., at Heath Cemetery in Whitney, with Reverend Eddie Booth officiating.
  Mr. Chapple was born on February 25, 1938, in Fort Worth.  He was the son of Frank Jesse and Edna (Pitts) Chapple.  He
served in the U.S. Air Force from 1954 – 1957.  He married Elizabeth Anne Adams on August 12, 1960, in Fort Worth.  He
worked as a millwright for chemical and nuclear plants for 40 years.  He lived in the Whitney area for the past 30 years.
He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Chapple; his mother, Edna Price; his stepfather Garland Price; his
mother-in-law, Pearl Carpenter, his special uncle, Josh Baugus; his special aunt, Belle Baugus; two brothers, Frank Honea
and Bobby Price; and one sister, Mary Priddy.  He was a member of the I.O.O.F. #178 Lodge in Whitney.
  Survivors include: his wife, Anne Chapple of Kopperl; four children, Jennie Kiesel and her husband Kenneth, of Kopperl,
Johnny Chappel and his wife, Lynda of Hewitt, Peggy Walker of Dallas and Missy Belle Chapple of Mexia; one brother,
Richard Price of Oklahoma; four sisters, Joy, Helen, Dorothy, and Loyce Rae; six grandchildren – Kari Wyatt, Eddie Wyatt,
Misty Walker, Sarah Walker, Michael Chapple, and Ashley Stegall; and six great grandchildren, Derrick Schlechardt, Tyler
Wyatt, Taylor Walker, Jacob Wyatt, Darcy Wyatt, and Emily Walker.
  Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors of Whitney were in charge of arrangements.
