Mrs. Bob (Helen) Bass, 81, of Meridian, passed away Saturday afternoon, February 3, 1973, in the Meridian Geriatric Center where she and her husband had ursided for a number of years.  Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon, February 4, at 3:00 o’clock in the Brister-Lawson Chapel with Bro. E.M. Cole and Dr. F.B. Huey officiating.  Burial was in the Meridian Cemetery.  Helen Grimm Bass born August 28, 1891, in Brenham, Texas to C.F. and Mary Patton Grimm. was united in marriage to Bob Bass in 1912 in Bosque County.  She and her husband had lived in Meridian for the past 53 years and she was a member of the Meridian First Baptist Church.  Survivors include her husband, Bob Bass, of Meridain; three daughters, Mrs. Charles Woodworth of Austin.  Mrs. E. A. Abbott of Austin and Mrs. Stella Fry of Waco; one son, Leroy Bass of Pasadena; three sisters, Mrs. Clara Hanna of Meridian.  Mrs Annie Cox of Walnut Springs and Mrs. Marie Williams of Meridian five brothers, Gus Grimm, Enor Grimm both of Meridian, Lewis Grimm of Carrollton, Marvin Grimm of Clifton and Walter Grimm of Stamford; 11 grand children and three great-grand children.  Pallbearers were Ray Gibbons, Furman Grimm. Otto Patterson. Norvil Flatt. Fawne Calvery and
Bethel Meaders.
