This photo was taken in 1895, in Meridian. This was taken at a park located on what is now Hwy 144 highway to Walnut Springs. This park at that time, had hot baloon rides, horse racing, fairs and picnics. I suspect this park is where my granfather proposed to
my grandmother. They were know to go with their families to this park. Notice the horse and buggies. This is a great photo 🙂
