(JUN 1857–1938)Not much is known about Asa. He married 27 JUL 1882, Bosque Co., TX to Martha Emma HARVICK, daughter of King F. & Ellen L. (KENNEDY) HARVICK. Asa was born in Meridian, Bosque Co., TX, lived there until at least JUN 1890, & died in Uvalde, Uvalde Co., TX in 1938. He is buried in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Uvalde.
Family stories tell of Asa shooting & killing his brother-in-law, Melvin Edward HARVICK, over a horse trade.
