Family history of Louisa Jane Sosebee and James Antony Sosebee beginning with Col. Jesse Walling, who was the son of John Walling Sr., (compiled by Otto Sosebee, Anson, Texas, from family records and legal records June 22, 1945).

Amelia Ann Walling, (daughter of Col. Jesse Walling) married Cunningham Merriweather Wilson July 8, 1858 at Milville Rusk County, Texas. He was born in Merriweather County, Alabama December 1, 1832 and died February 10, 1897 in Noodle, Jones County, Texas. He is buried in Whitney, Hill County, Texas and entered in Whitney Cemetery. At the time of their marriage Col. Jesse Walling invited all the people of Rusk County to their wedding and gave a big dinner and BBQ. They moved to Bosque County in 1870. Amelia Ann Walling Wilson died June 21, 1871 at Walling Bend, Bosque County, Texas leaving 4 daughters, Jessie Ann, Louisa Jane, Emma Belle, and Anna Wilson. Her body is now moved to Whitney Hill County, Texas.

Their grandmother, Ann Walling reared them, living on the old homestead on a league of land lying along the banks of the Brazos River in Bosque County, Texas. C.M. WIlson died February 20, 1897 at Noodle, Jones County, Texas. Both he and his wife are buried in the family cemetery at Walling Bend in Bosque County, Texas. This cemetery at Walling Bend is located on a plot of ground out of the league of land known as the Jesse Walling homestead and reserved by him as a family cemetery. 

Louisa Jane Wilson born May 5, 1862 at Milville, Rusk County, Texas lived there until 1870 when she moved to Bosque County with her parents. She married James Anthony Sosbee July 23, 1882. He was born near Blue Ridge, Fannin County, Georgia October 11, 1855 and came to Texas when he was 11 years old with his 28 year old brother, George Sosebee. They made the trip in ox and wagon with a the Picklsimor family. After their marriage they lived on the old Jesse Walling homestead until 1887 when they moved to Noodle, Jones County, Texas. They resided at this place continuously until 1913 when they moved to Paducah,Texas. James Anthony Sosebee died August 27, 1926 at Stanford, Texas. Both are buried at Merkel, Texas. Louisa Jane Wilson and James Anthony Sosebee had 11 children, all boys. This record can be found in the descendants of John Walling Sr., as the family of Amelia Ann Wilson.
