Body of Pfc. Samuel W. Bush who was killed in action in Italy November 22, 1944, arrived in Hillsboro at 11:45 a.m. Friday.
Marshall and Marshall Funeral Home is handling arrangements.  Pfc. Buch was born in Bosque County. He enlisted in the Army in February, 1941 and went overseas in March, 1944. He was in the 135th Infantry Regiment, 34th Division, attached to the 5th Army, commanded by General Mark Clark. He died at Mt. Bologna, Italy.  Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Cuma S. Bush of Whitney; a daughter, Nelda Joe Bush of Whitney; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jake Bush; three brothers, Douglass and J.W. Bush of Whitney and Robert Bush of Waco; two sisters, Mrs. Opal Holt of Morgan and Mrs. Beulah Caddy of Long Beach, Calif.  Funeral services were held at the First Baptist Church in Whitney at 3 p.m. Sunday. The Rev. F.E. Weller and the Rev. Fred Devaney conducted the services. Full military honors were rendered by Richard P. James post No. 875, Veterans of Foreign Wars. Burial was in the Bethlehem Cemetery.
