Talpa, TX. Henry was a private in Capt. H.A. HAMNER’s
Co. H of the Texas Mounted Rifleman, 2nd regt., with
Col. John S. FORD commanding, TST tr to CSA.
They were married in Cherokee County, TX; but they
had moved to Bosque County by around 1868 and
in 1883 moved into a new 2 story house close to Iredell.
In 1886 they relocated to Fairy, TX. Henry did some
farming; but he was mainly a horse trader, horse and mule
breeder, and owned some cattle. They are both buried in Talpa, TX.
