Hugh, Alsup, age 83, of Walnut Springs, died Friday, 13 Dec. 1985 in the Meridian Geriatric Center. Services were held Sunday, 15 Dec., at 2 pm, in the Lawson Funeral Home Chapel in Meridian, with Rev. William Lamb & Rev. Donald Berry officiating. Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery, Walnut Springs. Hugh was born 16 April 1902 to Joe M., & Jessis (Joplin) Alsup, at Walnut Springs, where he lived & worked all his life. Hugh was a retired farmer & a member of the Walnut Springs Pentecostal Church. Survivors: 2 brothers: Murray Alsup of Hillsboro, & F.M. Alsup of Ft. Worth; 2 sisters: Mrs. Ida Mae Dailey of Ft. Worth, & Miss Evalena Alsup of Walnut Springs. Pallbearers: Bill Baker, Tillman Cain, R.T. Townley, Lonnie Halbert, Jim Alsup, & Buddy Gagland.
